Resources
Included here are a collection of resources that have or could prove useful. Along with the general stagecraft resources below, I have a separate page for sound-specific resources, as well as those specific to IRSC technical students.
General Technical Theatre Resources
The Stagecraft List (SML) is probably one of the most valuable resources in a general theatre technician's arsenal. It's an email list with a membership in the thousands: the whole gamut of the tech theatre world can be found there, from students to road dogs to industry leaders. Expect lots of messages if you subscribe in single-message mode, and expect some very valuable information interspersed between discussions of beer and barbecue.
Supplemental lectures and material from John Huntington's fantastic book, Show Networks and Control Systems. These lectures cover some of the topics that are covered in the book, including networking, DMX, and MIDI as well as other methods of show control and automation.
One SML member called this "more caster information that anyone wants to know." Separate catalogs for various categories of caster.
